The basic method is described on my Department home page. I have made some changes to the methodology this year, including shrinking the ratings between seasons.

David Scott obtained a BA and PhD from the Australian National University and then commenced his university teaching career at La Trobe University in 1972.     Hi David. Are you sure you haven’t made an error with your margin for the Bulls Sharks game? According to my calculation it should be -0.10, which should give the match to Sharks, not the Bulls.

    Yes, you are correct. I had a mistake in coding the country for the Sharks.

    I have changed the predictions accordingly.

    I will have to do some rewriting of my code before my next lot of predictions.
